H.b.t. Medical College & Dr. R.n. Cooper Municipal General Hospital Mumbai

HBT Medical College & Dr. RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital is a government medical institute. It is located in the western suburbs of Mumbai. The college was established in 2015 by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. It is fourth medical college managed by Mumbai corporation.

The college is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Science Nashik. It has approval from the Medical Council of India (MCI). The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and CPS courses. The primary program is the MBBS. College includes 22 departments in classifications like Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical, Allied and Clinical.

The student admission capacity for the MBBS program is 200. The faculty consists of 14 professors, 32 assistant professors, 19 associate professors, 15 tutors and 3 registrars. The institute provides facilities like a centralized library, sports options and healthcare services. Currently it does not offer hostel facilities.

Admissions to MBBS course depend on merit from NEET/MHT-CET examination. Admission to MD/MS programs relies on merit from NEET PG examination. The college has been accredited by the National Board of Examinations for DNB training in nine general specialties since 2007.

After completing MBBS students complete a year of internship in their desired department. Student generally pursue post-graduation through the NEET-PG exam or start working in hospitals.
