Shri Ram College of law (SRCL), a constituent unit of Shri Ram Group of Colleges (SRGC) is conscious of the fast changing needs of society and therefore, we impart legal education and train our students beyond the prescribed syllabus to make them complete persons so that they may grasp the significance of facing any eventuality that arise make them know the difference between right and wrong and gain the ability to contemplate nature. The purpose of the law is the creation and protection of legal rights. Legal education is the basis of an efficient legal profession, which is the4 basis of a well-organized and sound judicial system. Legal practitioners help the courts in the administration of justice by providing the best legal arguments for and against the case. For a sound judicial administration, the judges and the persons in the legal profession must have a thorough knowledge of law. Thus it becomes necessary that an adequate number of law professionals with an understanding of the subject and an ability to communicate the basic concepts of law must be trained.
These courses aim at providing the fundamental knowledge of law and the ability to present their cases practically. Emphasis is also laid on communication and presentation skills, as lawyers have to cross examine the witness to establish the facts before the court.

Eligibility
1) 3 year Law Degree Course - A candidate who has graduated in any discipline from a recognized University can appear for L.L.B. course
2) Integrated Degree Program - Candidate must have passed 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam or an exam cosidered to be equivalnt to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam can enrol for integrated degree program (LLB and a first degree in any other subject).
Candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree after taking up other courses through distance mode are also considered eligible for integrated degree course. But those candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree through distance mode or from open universities without any basic qualification are not eligible for admission into law courses.
Minimum marks for admission into law courses -
1) 40% for SC/ST candidates
2) 45% for other candidates
