Fee Structure of Ramco Institute Of Technology, Virudhunagar

RIT offers various scholarships to its students based on merit and need.

1. Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students who secure top ranks in qualifying or semester examinations. The amount varies based on rank and branch of study.
2. First Graduate Scholarship: Awarded to students who are the first graduates in their family. This scholarship provides financial support of Rs. 25,000 per year.
3. SC/ST Scholarship: Students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) category can avail this scholarship, which also provides Rs. 25,000 per year.
4. BC/MBC Scholarship: Students from the Backward Class (BC) or Most Backward Class (MBC) category receive Rs. 20,000 per year.
5. Minority Scholarship: Available for minority communities such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis, this scholarship provides Rs. 20,000 per year.
6. Differently Abled Scholarship: Students with disabilities above 40% can receive Rs. 25,000 per year.

The number of course-wise scholarships offered by RIT is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria:

• For merit scholarships: Minimum of 80% marks in qualifying or semester examinations.
• For need-based scholarships: Annual family income less than Rs. 2 lakhs.
• For SC/ST scholarships: Valid community certificate.
• For BC/MBC scholarships: Valid community certificate.
• For minority scholarships: Belonging to one of the minority communities with a valid community certificate.
• For differently abled scholarships: Disability above 40% with a valid disability certificate.

Students interested should fill out an online application form available on the RIT website by August each year. Scholarships are disbursed after document verification and academic performance assessment.
