National Scholarship Scheme: Awarded by the Government of India to students who belong to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) and have secured at least 60% marks in the previous qualifying examination.
State Government Merit Scholarship Scheme: Awarded by the Government of Tamil Nadu to students who belong to Backward Classes (BC), Most Backward Classes (MBC), Denotified Communities (DNC) and Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (ADTW) and have secured at least 60% marks in the previous qualifying examination.
Educational Concessions and Scholarships to the Children of Repatriates from Sri Lanka: Awarded by the Government of Tamil Nadu to students who are children of repatriates from Sri Lanka and have secured at least 50% marks in the previous qualifying examination. The scholarship amount is Rs. 1000 per annum for all courses.
Educational Concessions and Scholarships to the Oil Repatriates from Burma: Awarded by the Government of Tamil Nadu to students who are oil repatriates from Burma and have secured at least 50% marks in the previous qualifying examination. The scholarship amount is Rs. 1000 per annum for all courses.
Physical Handicapped Scholarship: Awarded by the Government of India to physically handicapped students who have secured at least 40% marks in the previous qualifying examination.
Cash Prizes to Rank Holders: Awarded by Sourashtra College, Madurai, to students who have secured a rank in university examinations. The cash prize amount varies depending on the rank and course.
