GRT Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2008 and is affiliated to Anna University Chennai. The institute is approved by All India Council of Technical education, New Delhi. It offers both under graduate courses and post graduate courses. The total strength of its students is 980 till date.

Placement procedure

STEP-1: The placement department begins the procedure by providing Soft Skills Training including personality development, aptitude test and communication skills.

STEP-2: Top leaders are invited for lectures and interaction with students. Campus Recruitment Training through mock interviews and group discussions is provided.

STEP-3: Students are then taken for first-hand experience of industries through industrial tours. Interviews and tests are conducted on the campus for further proceedings.

Application and Admission Procedure

HOW TO APPLY:

A minimum of 50% marks in intermediate examination(general category candidates) and 40% marks for reserved category is required as the basic eligibility criterion for admission to the institute. The application process is as follows:

OFFLINE MODE: The candidates may apply only through online mode.

ONLINE MODE: The candidate needs to fill in the online application form available on the institute’s website and pay certain amount of fee as mentioned in the form in online mode only.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: Following is the list of documents required by the college:

• 10+2 mark sheet photocopy
• ID proof

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

The candidates need to apply for TNEA 2018 entrance test exam after paying a fee of Rs.500 for general category candidates and Rs.250 for reserved category candidates.

The exam is held every year usually after May. Admission to the candidates is granted strictly on merit basis after a counselling session and verification of all the requisite documents.

GRT Institute of Engineering and Technology has hostels for both boys and girls on campus. 124 rooms are allotted to males and 75 rooms are available for female students. It offers the following facilities:
