The collegewas established in 1959 is a Catholic minority Institution founded by the Sisters of Charity, for holistic education for the empowerment of women. It is an autonomous institution and also one of the best women’s colleges in Hyderabad. The college offers an exciting range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs amply supported by a variety of diploma programs and certificate courses. The real strength of an institution lies in its strong team of qualified, competent, dedicated and committed faculty members who constantly endeavor to update their skills and qualifications.

The college was accredited with 5 stars by the NAAC (National Assessment And Accreditation Council) in the year 1999 and re-accredited at the ‘A’ Level in the year 2006. In 2004, the UGC declared the college a “College with Potential for Excellence”.

The college is housed in an impressive campus spread over eight acres in the heart of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. From a modest student strength of 15 in 1959, the college has grown into a prestigious institution offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses, with a student force of 2,400. In addition, it has a staff strength of 110 teaching members and 80 non-teaching members.
