The Bharathidasan Institute of Management, a B-school was established in the year 1984 as a public business school in Tamil Nadu and has its affiliation with Bharathidasan University. The institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education and provides 2-year full-time MBA programs in various fields.
The institute has its collaborations with Defence Research and Development Organisation, Bharat Heavy Electricals and Confederation of Indian Industry.
Some of the major recruiters of the institute are Google, Accenture, DELL, Asian Paints etc. The institute has been ranked at number 20 among all the B-schools in India.
The institute also provides various facilities to its students such as the internet, hostel, canteen, medical facility, computer labs, library etc. For admissions, to the institute, a candidate should have completed his/her graduation and should have appeared for Common Admission Test (CAT). The candidates are shortlisted strictly on the basis of merit obtained.

Hostel:
Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli provides the facility of hostel for the full course. It consists of 2 hostels; 1 each for boys and girls. It provides a Type – 3 quarter to the students, which has 1 hall and 2 rooms.
The hostel provides 24 hours Electricity and Water supply, Wi-Fi, In-house Laundry facility, Computer Centre and Library. It has provided indoor and outdoor sports facilities to the students like-
- Carom, chess and table tennis.
- Flood-light volleyball and badminton courts.
- Playground.
There is a provision for common room with TV and magazines.
Other Facilities:
There are 9 clubs and 6 committees in the BIM. The club ranges from Finance, marketing, strategy making, for book enthusiasts to movie making. There are committees for Public relations, sports, committee that runs mess for students and for theatre arts i.e, dance, music and acting.
It has started an initiative with the name BIM discussions, it provides a platform to students to discuss and work on the trending business ideas.
The HR club ZETETICA, organized an event called ‘Sanskriti’. Team ‘Friends’ was declared as the winner of this competition.
Rahul N K, won the Graduate Summer School 2018 competition from management students selected across the country. The competition was conducted by CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad.
