PSR Engineering College

was founded in 1998 and is an autonomous engineering college affiliated to Anna University Chennai. It is run by the PS Ramaswamy Televisions Minority Educational and Charitable Trust.

• Training Division: Training is placement oriented and not a part of regular syllabus. It is conducted throughout the year. Special training in regards to recruiting company is also provided.

Application and Admission Procedure

For getting admission in this college the aspirants need to obtain minimum 50% marks in aggregate in their last qualifying examination.

How to apply:

The interested candidates need to follow few simple steps to finish this application procedure.

• The interested candidates first need to visit the Anna University website and fill up the Registration form by entering their personal like name, gender, nationality, father’s name, Date of birth etc. and educational details.
• They make the payment through debit card/credit card/ internet banking
• They need to take a print out of the duly filled up form and send it to the Director(admission), Anna University.

After the declaration of merit list by the said university, the candidates need to download the counselling call letter and visit the counselling centre at the mentioned time and date. They need to collect counselling from form assigned bank counter.

At the time of counselling they need to carry original and photocopies of all required documents like Transfer Certificate, Category Certificate, 10^th, 12^th and graduation certificate, Allotment order, Counselling Call letter etc.. and DD of Rs 5000/.

After seat allotment, the candidates need to report to the college and submit their allotment order.

Admission Procedure:

The selection for BE courses is based on the TNEA counselling. The selection for ME and MBA programme is based on TANCA counselling.

For ME / MBA admission a good score in GATE/TANCET is mandatory.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

2 boys hostels with a capacity of 800 students. 2 girls hostels which can accommodate 700 students.

The hostels have a 24 hours medical dispensary available to students. There is a nurse present also. There are mineral water plants for clean and safe drinking water for the students. The hostellers are given STD calling facilities.

The principal is the chief warden of the hostels who is assisted by wardens and residential tutors.

Campus Facilities

The institute has state of the art auditorium and seminar halls, stocked library and gymnasium. There are modernized laboratories for designated departments such as chemistry, physics, electronics, optical and microwave etc. Apart from that there is a computer lab.
