Model Institute Of Engineering And Technology (MIET) Jammu

The Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) is a private educational institute located in Jammu. It was founded in 1998 and is part of MIER Group of Institutions. This group is functional since 1936. MIET is permanently affiliated with University of Jammu. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and holds an 'A' grade accreditation from NAAC.

Undergraduate courses include B.Tech in Computer Science, Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, AI & ML and Cyber Security. It also provides BBA (Hons.), BBA-BFSI (Hons.), BBA-LLB (5 years) (Hons.), LLB (3 years) (Hons.), B.Com (Hons.) and BCA (Hons.). At postgraduate level, institute offers MBA, MCA and M.Tech (CSE).

Faculty comprises 120 members. Of these 67% have postgraduate qualifications while 33% hold PhD degrees. 

For B.Tech admissions MIET accepts JEE Main or the Common Entrance Test (JKCET) scores. Other courses also require entrance tests.

Rankings - MIET ranks 52nd in the ROI Category by Business Today Magazine. Its BE program is 53rd among the Top Private T-Schools in India according to DataQuest Magazine's September 2023 Edition. School of Management ranks 27th among top 50 Private B-Schools in North India based on Outlook-ICARE Rankings, 2023.

MIET has established international academic collaborations with different institutes including IIT JMU, ICT Academy and University of Florida.

Placements - MIET students receive different job offers. Students received over 300 placement offers with a maximum salary of 13.45 Lacs per annum and a median salary of 4.5 Lacs per annum.
