Government College Of Engineering And Technology (GCET) Jammu

The Government College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu (GCET Jammu) is located in Jammu and Kashmir. The government institute was established in 1994. GCET Jammu is recognized by the University Grants Commission. It is affiliated with University of Jammu.

GCET Jammu offers undergraduate engineering courses. Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) programs include Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Each program can accommodate 60 students. The college also has a Lateral Entry Scheme for the BE 3rd Semester which allows an additional 10% intake.

The faculty consists of 50+ members. 

The college offers many facilities, including hostels, a library, sports facilities, a cafeteria and laboratories. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls.

Admissions are conducted online through Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET). GCET Jammu is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It became the first institute in Jammu & Kashmir to have three of its undergraduate programs accredited by the National Board of Accreditation in 2019.

GCET Jammu has established a technical collaboration with IIT Kharagpur and World Consortium of Universities. 

College provides placements in companies like Hindustan Construction Co., Tata TeleServices, Tata Consultancy Services and Power Grid.
