Fee Structure Of MIET, Jammu-Model Institute Of Engineering And Technology

MIET is the technical institution which offers undergraduate courses in engineering and master’s degree in computer applications, engineering, and management. The institute is located in Jammu.

It is an engineering college which was established in the year 1998 and is approved by the All India Council for technical education and is affiliated to the University of Jammu.

It has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and the departments of electronics and communication along with computer science has been accredited with National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

It has also been accredited with an A grade by the NAAC team. It has been awarded the best institution award in the year 2014 among all the north engineering colleges of North India by NITTR.

• Computer Science and Engineering- 120 seats
• Information Technology- 60 seats
• Electrical Engineering- 60 seat
• Civil Engineering- 60 seats

Application and Admission Procedure

How to Apply

For application to the institution for PG (MBA), a minimum of 50% marks of equivalent CGPA in the Bachelor’s degree (for candidates belonging to the general category) is required; for SC/ST candidates, a minimum of 40% is mandatory. Percentiles scored by the candidates in MAT/CAT/CMAT examinations are also taken into account.

Online mode

Candidates can choose to obtain the application form from the website of The Business School under the University of Jammu. After filling it up with requisite details and documents, a hard copy of the same along with a Bank Draft of INR 1000 (for general candidates; INR 850 for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of “the Director, The Business School, University of Jammu, Jammu, payable at Jammu” has to be submitted at The Business School.

The application form can be downloaded from the official website of the college.

Offline mode

Application forms can be procured in person from The Business School on all working days between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A Bank Draft of INR 1000 (for general candidates; INR 850 for SC/ST candidates) in favour of the aforementioned receiver has to accompany.

Admission Procedure:

Post application, interested candidates will be selected on the basis of group discussions and personal interviews conducted by the University of Jammu.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel Facilities:

One hostel is available for girls. No hostel facility available for boys.

• Cafeteria:  The MIET cafeteria offers hygienic and quality food. Apart from the canteen food kiosks are also set up at multiple places to meet student’s requirements.
• Common Room: Students can avail the facilities of the common room to refresh themselves from their rigorous class work by participating in various indoor sports options and TV offered in the room.
• Transport: College provides bus service for the convenience of the students coming from many localities in and on the periphery of Jammu City.
• Dispensary: There is a well-equipped dispensary in college manned by a registered medical practitioner that provides free First-Aid treatment.
• Group Insurance: All the students are covered under the group accidental insurance for Rs. 1,00,000 (One Lakh) and Medical insurance including hospitalization expenses of up to Rs. 10,000.
• Email ID: All the students are provided with an official "@mietjammu.in" email id which comes with free 10 TB of Cloud Storage.
• Guidance and Counselling: MIET reaches out to students through faculty mentors and through automated guidance and counselling through the PI 360 software solution, a first-of-its-kind software in India.
