Fee Structure Of SMVDU, Reasi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra

The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVD University) was established in the year 1999 under the Jammu and Kashmir Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Act of 1999 by the J&K State Legislature. The university is located in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir.

The motto of the university is "Science is God". SMVDU lies in the proximity of Trikuta foothills and stretches across 461 acres of land. Its campus is divided into various blocks: the Academic Block, Administrative Block, Central Library, Hostels & Residential Area.

The university is divided into four faculties, each offering various programs of study at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels. Following are the four faculties:

• • College of Engineering.
  • College of Management.
  • College of Sciences.
  • College of Philosophy Culture and Language.

The university is approved by UGC and all technical courses are recognized by AICTE (All Indian Council for Technical Education), while the Architecture course is recognized by the Council of Architecture.

The College of Engineering was placed within the 101-150 band by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2017. In addition, the College of Management was ranked in the 76-100 range in accordance with the NIRF management ranking scheme in the same year.

Application and Admission Procedure

The application form for admission can be filled and submitted online through the website of University. Only those candidates can fill the forms that fulfill the eligibility criteria, those who don’t fulfill the eligibility criteria their forms will be rejected.

Fill the form with all details and submit it by paying the charges of the application form that is INR 1100. The admissions are based on the merit of respective qualifying exams. The college itself conduct SMVDUEE exam at various cities and students who pass the examination will be called by the University to counselling for allotting seats.

The seat allotment process also follows the rule that the student should have scored 60% marks in 10+2. The university also accepts admission through other qualifying tests that are conducted all over India such as NATA, JEE MAIN, CMAT, MAT, and GATE.

CAMPUS FACILITIES

The university is equipped with proper gym for both girls and boys and has sports complex, transportation system, library, labs, bank facilities, canteen, post office, mess, medical center and WIFI connectivity. It provides telephone exchange facilities, guest house for visitors, school for staff members’ children, auditorium, seminar halls and shopping complexes.

HOSTEL

The university provides 7 hostels. There are 4 hostels for boys namely, Trikuta, Kailash, Neelgiri and Vindhyachal and 2 hostels for girls namely, Shivalik and Vaishnav with great supply of water and electricity.

The merit students in the academics are provided with scholarships.

STUDENT LIFE

The university organizes Titiksha which is technical festival which is celebrated in the month of November, Tatva management festival, resurgence a cultural and sports festival for which students all over India come to participate and Vikalp which is a students’ initiation anactivity volunteered by NSS helping the nearby villagers or providing them basic medical aid.
