Scholarships

Post Graduate Merit Scholarship Scheme:

Applicable to: University rank holders in general and honors courses at the undergraduate level.
Expenses covered: Rs. 2000 per month for a period of two years.
Eligibility: Must have secured at least 60% marks in the undergraduate degree and be among the first or second rank holders in the university.

Research Fellowship in Sciences:

Applicable to: Meritorious students pursuing M.Phil or Ph.D. in science subjects.
Expenses covered: Rs. 8000 per month for M.Phil and Rs. 10000 per month for Ph.D. for a maximum period of three years.
Eligibility: Must have secured at least 55% marks in the post-graduate degree and qualify the NET/SLET/GATE examination.

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship:

Applicable to: SC/ST candidates pursuing M.Phil or Ph.D. in any subject.
Expenses covered: Rs. 16000 per month for the initial two years and Rs. 18000 per month for the remaining period.
Eligibility: Must belong to SC/ST category and have secured admission in M.Phil or Ph.D. program .

Dr. D.S. Kothari Post-Doctoral Fellowships:

Applicable to: Young researchers who have completed their Ph.D. degree.
Expenses covered: Rs. 22000 per month for the first year, Rs. 24000 per month for the second year and Rs. 26000 per month for the third year.
Eligibility: Must have obtained a Ph.D. degree within the past three years and have a good academic record.

Dr. S Radhakrishnan Post Doctoral Fellowship:

Applicable to: Young researchers who have completed their Ph.D. degree in humanities and social sciences (including language).
Expenses covered: Rs. 20000 per month for a period of three years.
Eligibility: Must have obtained a Ph.D. degree within the past three years and have a good academic record.
