A glorious past to a bright future

Spearheading women's education in Rajasthan, the L ate Bhagirath Kanoria laid the foundation of Kanoria College with support from the Government of Rajasthan in 1965. Kanoria College grew into a premier institution with a distinct identity and image.

• Starting with only the faculty of Arts, the Science stream was introduced in 1971.Now new courses like B.Sc. Biotechnology,BCA and interdisciplinary combinations have been introduced.The hostel opened its doors in 1981 to students from far and wide, and now houses 300 students.
• Keeping apace with the changing times the Commerce stream was added in 1985.
• It was a proud moment in the history of the institution when it became a postgraduate college in 1993. Now it has postgraduate courses in seven subjects of Arts, one of Science and three of Commerce.
• Professional courses introduced were Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication in 2005-06; BBA in 2007-08, BSc BioTechnology and BCA in 2008-09.
• The Nand Lal Kanoria complex was dedicated to the college in 2001 in memory of its former chairman, Late Nand Lal Kanoria.
