KCG College of Technology was established in 1998 as a private university in the city of Chennai at Tamil Nadu. It was founded under the aegis of Hindustan Group of Institutions, Chennai as a Christian minority institution.

All the courses are affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Government of India. The institute has also been certified by ISO 9001:2000.

The campus of this institution is located at Karapakkam, few kilometres from old Mahabalipuram highway. It has a lush green campus in 50 acres of land with state of the art infrastructure with modern art buildings.

It is a well-certified institution with accreditation from NBA and NIRF. It has dedicated centre for innovation and entrepreneurship cell and Placement cell.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The college has excellent hostels for both boys and girls. The hostel rooms are available in several options- air conditioned/ non air conditioned rooms on double occupancy basis are available with either attached baths or common baths.

Triple occupancy rooms are available with either attached baths or common baths. Four seater rooms are available with common baths.

The hostels have uninterrupted water and power supply, internet connection and indoor games facilities and televisions. The hostels also have dining halls and reading halls.

The hostel fee is INR 91500 per year.

Campus facilities

The campus library and Knowledge Resource Center has 43840 books, 2629 project reports and 127 print journals and numerous videos.

The digital library has 18 advanced Apple computers and 12 I-Pads with high speed internet connection.

The college also has an anti ragging squad, its own fleet of buses and sports grounds for outdoor sports.
