Shri Vaishnav Institute of Management was established in 1987. The college is run by "Shri Vaishnav Shaikshanik Evam Parmarthik Nyas", an educational and charitable trust established in 1951.

The college is affiliated to DAVV, Indore since 1987 and RGPV, Bhopal since 1996.

Criteria:

The students who want to apply at SCIM for MBA program need to qualify VYAPAM, a common entrance test conducted by Government of Madhya Pradesh.

The candidate who wants to apply for MCA courses needs to qualify Pre-MCA test conducted by regulatory bodies under the directions of Gov. of Madhya Pradesh.

Hostel

The University has hostels for both boys and girls. It is allotted to the students on the basis of ‘first come, first serve’ at the time of admission. Girls’ hostel is located in Rajmohalla whereas, the boys’ hostel is situated in Gumasta Nagar.
