Jagran lake city university is one of the oldest and eminent private universities in Madhya Pradesh. It is situated in Bhopal. Though it got its status on 24th April 2013 by the Act of 22 No 22 of 2013 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh it carries forward the 15 years old legacy of Jagran Social Welfare Society. It is recognised by UGC. It is best known for its higher education, infrastructure and placement.
It offers total 72 courses( Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Diploma Courses ) in various disciplines. The curriculum of each course is designed by renowned academicians and industry leaders. The motto of the university is ‘Igniting Minds Changing Lives’.
This Government run Private University has a Wi-Fi enabled, a world-class large campus which is spread over around 22 acres land with well-equipped computerised labs, modern hostels, cafeteria, auditorium, A/c classrooms and well-resourced library. Today it has nearly 1800 students, 92 teaching staffs and 74 administrative staffs.
The gateway of different courses in this university is either merit-based or entrance exam (JLU/ CLAT) based.
Application and Admission Procedure
JLU offers multiple UG courses in different specializations. The selection into bachelor programs is based on candidate’s academic merit and performance in Personal Interview. Admissions into some programs are based on the entrance test conducted at national/state level or by the university and through Personal Interview.
Application forms can be downloaded from the official web portal of the university or can be obtained in person from the university office. The application fee is Rs. 1000. The entrance exam will be held offline.
HOW TO APPLY:
- Candidates can register for admission by filling in the application form.
- And then submit the required processing fee on or before the last date.
- Fees for online applications can be submitted through Credit/ Debit cards or Net Banking.
- For the offline forms, the fee has to be submitted in cash.
- After the submission of the form, it will be processed within 5 working days.
- Photocopy of self-attested mark sheet of 10th and 12th also needs to be submitted.
- Completed applications, must be sent To the University along with necessary documents.
- And then on the basis of certain criteria the admission seats are allotted to the candidates.

Campus Facilities
The University’s campus is spread across 200 acres. The entire campus has Wi-Fi internet connectivity. The well stocked library of the University along with the e-library enables access to an extensive range of academic resources including books, journals, magazines, online published paper and reports.
It also has fully equipped laboratories, training restaurants, workshops and studios. The University also provide sports facilities to its students. It also has various eateries on campus.
Hostel Facilities
The University provides separate hostels for both boys and girls. Residents have options to choose, triple, double or single occupancy rooms. The rooms are well furnished and basic amenities are provided.
Residents also have the option of installing coolers in their rooms on payment of extra electricity charges. The facilities of the hostel includes: 3 Vegetarian Meals & 1 High Tea; Wifi, Electricity Charges, Gym & Swimming Pool.

Eligibility
1) 3 year Law Degree Course - A candidate who has graduated in any discipline from a recognized University can appear for L.L.B. course
2) Integrated Degree Program - Candidate must have passed 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam or an exam cosidered to be equivalnt to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam can enrol for integrated degree program (LLB and a first degree in any other subject).
Candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree after taking up other courses through distance mode are also considered eligible for integrated degree course. But those candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree through distance mode or from open universities without any basic qualification are not eligible for admission into law courses.
Minimum marks for admission into law courses -
1) 40% for SC/ST candidates
2) 45% for other candidates

The best part of the college for me was the infrastructure. Also the course curriculum is also updated with current trends in the country.
Academics
Yes, exams held timely and college is very particular in providing timely results of the exams. Difficulty level in internal exams is average.
Internships
I don’t have much experience with the internship of the college. But I would surely recommend students to get internships as much as they can. This is one of my biggest regret as I did not do internship and they especially help you a lot in the placement season.
Loans and Scholarships
Living on our campus gives us more time to relax outside of the study. In this University we can live independently and spread our wings for the first time. We have the fantastic range of Hostels in our Campus.
Remarks
My college life was a big turning point in my life that as it taught me so much knowledge about the interior and exterior world. The college offers a great time when it comes to extra curricular activities as I was very shy kid but after college am very confident about myself.
Entrance Exam
I did not have to give any entrance test and was selected based on an interview. The reason why I joined this college as it is one of the best colleges in the city and the faculty here is very experience as well as the placement are also good.
Fees
i think the college is a bit expensive as compared to all other colleges of similar calibre. Though I can only speak for myself and this information also varies from student to student and their financial background..
Placements
Just like other top colleges we also have a dedicated placement cell which is always in search of top companies who come for recruiting students this includes both the mistake as well as international companies. I'm not much over about the companies and take it as i did not go for the placement cell as i wanted to study for the higher education.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel is good but the prices are pretty high and also it is a bit hurting for students who are non vegetarian as the whole of the campus is only vegetarian and provides only vegetarian food. On the food items and nutritious the management should think about changing the menu once in awhile as it gets very boring in the food sometimes they stole the same.

University has a good network of alumni which is very helpful to students and provide more about prospects and scope of these courses and the industry.

Campus Life
University give a lot of extra curricular activities in, arts and music , radio shows etc there's always some of the other event going on around which is great But it is also bad thing i had this is less time to focus on the academics. The worst part about the college is the uniform system which makes it feel like school days

The college follows the semester system which includes 4 semesters which involve internal exams and external exams.
Internships
The college does provide internship opportunities but i'm only few people just and most of them go on there on for their own internships

No college does not provide any scholarship towards but students you're interested can contact the scholarship programs of the state or central govt. No i do not have any knowledge about the loan facilities provided by the college if you're interested you can contact the college administration office of the college they might be able to help you.
