Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology (SVCET) is a private, Telugu MinorityInstitution established in 2009. It is located in Thirupachur, Tamil Nadu, and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college has been duly approved by the AICTE and has been accredited by the NBA and the ISO.
The college offers B.E./B. Tech courses in 5 specialisations at the undergraduate level, and MBA, MCA, and M.E./M. Tech(3 specialisations) programs at the postgraduate level.
The SVCET campus is spread out across a 30-acre area, and offers various facilities to students such as hostels for boys and girls respectively including mess services, a well-stocked library with digital resources, developed transport amenities, as well as competitive outdoors sports facilities.
Admission to UG and PG courses is granted on the basis of merit marks obtained in Class 12th and the applicant’s Bachelor’s degree respectively, as well as ranking/scores in entrance exams such as the TNEA.

The campus sprawls over an area of 30 acres.
The library plays a vital role in inculcating knowledge within the students through their vast collection of over 12,000 books. The digital resource facilities are fully automated with the availability of computerised transactions.
The Dewy Decimal Classification Scheme is applied to arrange the books. OPAC helps in easy access of the desired books.
Modern playground structure with sophisticated equipments helps to build the students for sports. Coaches are appointed to guide them. A sports meet regularly takes place where the awards are distributed to the winners.
20 buses from different regions, focusing on the main routes transport students and staffs to the college. People of opposite genders are seated separately. A bus pass is allotted. There is strict prohibition of travelling on foot-board.
