Sri Shanmugha College of Engineering and Technology (SSCET) , sponsored by Sri Shanmugha Educational and Charitable Trust was established in 2011 and is affliated to Anna University, Chennai.

It is located in an extensive campus of about 100 acres on the state highway connecting Sankari and Tiruchengode in Tamil Nadu. The Institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi.

It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Admission to the institute is granted as per the Anna university norms considering that the candidate has qualified intermediate examination with Physics, Chemistry and Math without grace marks. The TNEA exam is to be taken and based on cut-off applicants can apply by filling the form online or offline.

The campus has the facilities of sports such as athletics, weight lifting, handball etc, gymnasium, well built girls’ and boys’ hostel, a decent auditorium and seminar halls. The institute provides 100% placement with around Rs 4,00,000 per annum package as per 2016-17 statistics.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

SSCET is located in a huge campus of around 100 acres. It has hostel facility for both, boys and girls respectively. Both the hostels come under the management of same office. The hostel provides the facilities of laundry, library, computer room, indoor sports etc.

The common room has T.V, music system, magazines and newspapers to get students some relaxation after a hefty day. Also, hostel library has a large collection of comics, fiction and general books.

The Hostel Council make plans for every academic year which includes preparation for the sports budget, recreational and other social activities and is also responsible for the functioning of mess with the help of the mess committee.

Other Facilities

There are different clubs that students can join according to their interests, like sports club, mathematics club, fitness club etc.

The college regularly conducts events like workshops on CAD, PHP, startups and hackathon etc.
