About GSBT, Chennai
Established in 2005 by Gojan Educational Trust, the Gojan School of Business and Technology is situated 22 kilometers from the city of Chennai, Tamin Nadu. The institute is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It has on offer seven undergraduate engineering courses as well as seven post graduate courses including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program.
About the MBA Program
Started from 2007, the MBA Program at GSBT spans over two years and has a maximum intake of 60 students per batch.
The candidate must have completed his/her graduation from a University accepted by the syndicate of Anna University. They are also required to appear in for the common entrance test conducted by Tamil Nadu- TANCET.

The admission for the common seats is granted by the university on the basis of TANCET scores. For the management quota seats, the applicants are required to appear for an entrance test conducted by the institute in the college premises itself.
The annual fees for pursuing the two year MBA Program at GSBT is Rs.50,000.
The institute has a dedicated placement cell to look after all placement related activities and procedures. The Placement Cell along with the Career Development Academy of the institute also conducts a career guidance program for the final year students.
The institute boasts of a lucrative list of recruiters including Infosys, TATA Consultancy Services, Hyundai, Reliance, ITC Limited, Siemens, Wipro, Dell, HCL, Cognizant, Hero Honda, The Economic Times, HDFC Bank, Aditya Birla Group and so.
Since the inception of the MBA Program in 2007, 735 students (includes both graduate and under graduate placements) have been placed on campus.
GSBT boasts of an extensively stocked library with 7976 titles and 24902 volumes of books as well as subscription to multiple national and international journals. The institute also houses facilities for indoor and outdoor games for both boys and girls and fully fledged football ground. The campus is also equipped with a well-stocked medical center and Indicash ATM.
The institute has separate hostels on campus for boys and girls with a capacity of 250 and 150 students respectively. Post Graduate students are granted single rooms. The hostel houses a Television as well as a Reading room. Internet facility is also available for the use of students.

- Scholarships worth Rs.15 lakhs are granted yearly to certain students by the Gojan Educational Trust.

To pursue MBA at GSBT students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
