Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering

is an engineering college which is situated at the Shegaon, (Buldhana District) in Maharashtra, India. It is affiliated to the Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, at Amravati.

It is one of the leading premier institutes in the country. It has been approved and accredited by the AICTE, New Delhi and approved by DTE, Maharashtra State, Mumbai.

It has been accredited by the NAAC team with an “A” grade as well. It has been approved and accredited by the NBA.

The college was established in the year 1983 and grants admissions to the aspirants in various streams such as Engineering (BE & ME) in Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunications, Mechanical, Computer Engineering & Information Technology.

The institute is run by a trust called, Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj temple trust. It also offers various programs in the post graduate courses such as Masters in Business Administration (MBA) & Masters in Computer Applications (MCA).

Hostel and Facilities

Shri Sant Gajanand Maharaj College of Engineering was formed in the year 1983. It is approved by SantGadge Baba Amravati University.

Hostel

The college provides hostel facility to all its students. There are separate boys and girls hostels. At present total 8 multistoried hostel buildings are there among which 5 are for boys and 3 are for girls.

The boys hostels can accommodate more than 450 students whereas the girls hostel can accommodatemore than 200 students.

All the hostels are situated within the college campus. All hostel rooms spacious and well equipped with all modern features like round the clock running tap water, electricity, internet connection etc.

Rooms have all basic types of furniture like bed, table -chair, cupboard etc In the hostels there are prayer rooms. The students need to avail shared accommodation. In the hostel, daily newspaper is also providedThe hostels have mess facility along with dining halls and the water cooler with water purifier.

Campus Facilities

The college also has some wonderful other facilities like extensive library, auditorium, cafeteria etc. Apart from the hostels, some guest rooms are also there for visitors. It also provides medical services to its students.

There are various indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as basketball, football, carom, chess etc. Besides that, well organized department-wise labs are there.The entire college campus has WiFi accessibility. The campus is spread over an area of 82 acres.
