The Society for Indian Institute of Rural Management (SIIRM) is a registered, non government, non-profit, autonomous institution, engaged in research, training and consultations in management and rural development in the country. With a history dating back to 1988 the SIIRM is a highly regarded place of research and learning that makes continuing distinctive contributions to society and economy. Since its establishment, SIIRM has undertaken a wide spectrum of management research and consultancy projects for, and on behalf of, the Central and State Governments, Corporate Houses, International and Bilateral agencies such as UNICEF, UNFPA, World Health Organization, World Bank (IBRD), World Food Programme, Oxfam USA, etc.

Institute of Rural Management Jaipur (IRM), established, owned and led by SIIRM and affiliated to AICTE, is a contemporary, smart and Innovative institution and a leading research-led B-school, ranked A++ among India’s top b-schools. Launched in 1994, it has traversed a long path to earn an enviable name, as one of the major centers of excellence in management education, training and research in the country. The Institute of Rural Management is promoted by CANGANS a Secular Christian Family from South India. The Cangans are known for their commitment to the promotion of Indian ethos, which manifest in the organization’s administrative policy of giving equal respect to all major religions of India. It has three operational wings. The NGO wing which implements operational projects, the Research & Training wing which undertakes management research and organizes training programmes and MDPs and the Educational wing comprised of the Faculty of Management Studies offering PGDM and PGDM-RM programmes.

Academic Programme

The institute is offering Post Graduate Diploma programme in Management (PGDM) with specialization in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, and International Business and a Post Graduate Diploma programme in Management with specialization in Rural Marketing (PGDM-RM) with specialization in Agribusiness Management, Rural Banking and Finance and Rural Management. All these programmes are intensive and high profile career oriented. In the recent past, there has been a tremendous appreciation for the above programme from the top notch corporate houses, international agencies and U.N. organizations, owing to its uniqueness. The Institute on its part is making remarkable efforts to keep-up these programs to the International standards, by extending state of art technology inputs, excellent infrastructural facilities, world class IT lab and library, Faculty support and Industry interaction programmes.
