Muffakham Jah College of Engineering & Technology was founded in the year 1980 and is situated in Hyderabad. The College is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to the Osmania University.
The Campus contains well stocked library, advanced laboratories & computing facilities, digital learning enabled classrooms and well equipped sports amenities.
The Institution has been ranked 62th out of 100 colleges in India, by the Outlook Magazine and at the 56th position by the Week Magazine.

Admissions for all the above mentioned courses are made using the score of EAMCET, conducted by the Telangana government.
Application and Admission Procedure
Established in the year 1980 by Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society, Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology is a college affiliated to Osmania University and recognised by All India Council of Technical Education. The college offers various courses at under graduate and post graduate level.
Admission into B.E courses is made either through EAMCET or ECET. The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with a minimum 50% aggregate. The final admission however is made on the basis of the rank secured by the student in Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) or Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), conducted by Government of Telangana.
Admission into post graduate courses will be made on the basis of the ranks secured by the candidates in PGCET. The candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognised university.
30% of the seats will be allotted under Management Quota as per the guidelines issued by the Government of Telangana.
Hostel and Facilities
HOSTEL:
Established in the year 1980, the college is situated at Banjara Hills which is one of the most prime locations in Hyderabad. The campus being surrounded by lush greenery provides no hostel facilities to its students. Though, there are various other hostel/PG’s around the campus that cater to the needs of the students.
HOSTEL FACILITIES:
- Almost all the hostels are at a walking distance from the college campus
- The rooms are very comfortable and well furnished
- The food provided is tasty, healthy and also provided at genuine prices
- There are AC as well as Non AC rooms available as per the choice of the students
- The infrastructural facilities are also good
CAMPUS FACILITIES:
- There are about 6 students clubs at the college for the development of students
- Organises different fests and events annually
- A scholarship of Rs. 35,000 is available to the meritorious students
- The campus has separate blocks for all the departments.
- There are 2 canteens for veg and non veg
- A separate block for workshops is also available
- Library and well equipped labs available

Remarks
Overall there is no harm in joining the college. The pro of the college is way more than the cons of the college. The placement is good, the faculty is learned, the crowd here is amazing, the infra is also great what else do you want in a college.
Entrance Exam
I got admitted based on my UPSEE score. Also, you can get in through the UPTU entrance test. No i did not had to give any interview to get in the college. Here management is good and the infrastructure is also well developed.
Fees
I have paid close to Rs 1.2 lakhs per annum. Since it is a private university, it does charges a high amount of fee just like any other private university today.
Placements
Placements at our college are good. Almost all our seniors got placed last year. Many companies like infosys, tcs,conzignant,wipro visited the college for the campus recruitment. The average package offered by companies was about 3 to 4 lacks per annum while the highest package offered was 12 lacks per annum. Though mechanical and civil branch have a little bit placement issue but computer science and information technology and other branches have awesome placement record.
Hostel and Facilities
The quality of food in college hostel is very bad.Though it is hygienic but yet food quality is bad and also it tastes bad as compared to food served in other hostels and pg near the college.Other hostel facilities are good like rooms are spacious and wifi is good,gym is also well maintained.
Alumni
Alumni network is not so strong through the seniors are helpful and may guide you for the internship and other important tasks.
Faculty
Faculty members of our college are very good and supportive. They have in-depth knowledge of the respective topics they teach and they always keep the students motivated. They use innovative techniques and teaching methods to keep the student interested in studies.
Campus Life
Campus life is good. It gives the feel of maturity of college life. In college, there is diversity also as students are from different areas. The girls to boys in the computer science branch are 1:5 and the environment is good for studies and the overall personality development of the student.
Academics
Class assessment tests are held almost every month as prescribed by the university rules and regulations but end semester exam is held once at the end of the semester that is in the month of December than in the month of May. More weight is given to the end semester exam.
Internships
The college does provide internships in various companies where students can get exposure ,but it is for selected students only , stipened amount here ia about Rs 5-7k.
Loans and Scholarships
The college does not provide any loan but scholarship facility is provided by the university for financially weak students.
