Fee Structure of Chitkara University, Chandigarh (CU) , Patiala

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SCs/OBCs students: Funded by the Punjab government, this scholarship provides financial assistance to students from Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) pursuing higher education. Eligibility criteria include having a domicile certificate of Punjab, an annual income of less than Rs. 2.5 lakh for SCs and Rs. 1 lakh for OBCs and securing at least 50% marks in the previous examination.

Scholarship Scheme for Minorities students: Funded by the central government, this scholarship assists minority community students pursuing higher education. Eligibility criteria include having a domicile certificate of Punjab, an annual income of less than Rs. 2.5 lakh and belonging to one of the notified minority communities (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians). Students must secure at least 50% marks in the previous examination.

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for College and University students: Funded by the central government, this scholarship supports meritorious students pursuing higher education. Undergraduate students receive Rs. 10,000 per annum, while postgraduate students receive Rs. 20,000 per annum. Eligibility criteria include having a domicile certificate of Punjab, securing at least 80% marks in Class 12 examination, an annual income of less than Rs. 8 lakh and not availing any other scholarship.

AICTE's scholarship for J & K students: Funded by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), this scholarship assists Jammu and Kashmir students pursuing technical education. It covers tuition fees, hostel fees, books and other expenses. Eligibility criteria include having a domicile certificate of Jammu and Kashmir, securing admission in an AICTE-approved institution through centralized counseling conducted by AICTE, an annual income of less than Rs. 8 lakh and not availing any other scholarship.

Chitkara University, Chandigarh offers separate hostel accommodations for both male and female students. The hostels are located within the campus premises and provide shared rooms for students. 

Fee Structure

The hostel fee, which includes laundry charges depends on the type of room.

This fee includes a semi-furnished room with a bed, mattress, study table, chair and an almirah.

Additional charges

• A refundable caution fee of Rs. 5,000 is payable at the time of admission.
• Laundry services are available for an additional fee of Rs. 3,000.
• Students can avail the mess facility. They can also opt for meals of their choice at the food courts which needs to paid for separately. Those who opt for the mess facility will be required to pay an additional charge of Rs. 14,000 per semester.
