Punjabi University, [PU] Patiala was established in the state of Punjab with the motive of furthering the cause of Punjabi language, art, and literature. It was established in the year 1962. It has since then evolved into the largest University in the state. The teachers have the responsibility on their shoulders for imparting guidance and instruction to nearly 9,000 students in a multi-pronged, multi-facetedand multi-faculty environment and it covers a large area of land, approximately 600 acres.
