Graphic Era was established in 1993 as Graphic Era Institute of Technology in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. In 2008 it was awarded Deemed To Be university status. It is promoted by Graphic Era Education society.

The university was given grade A by NAAC in 2015.

The university offers 40 courses in engineering, management, hotel management, computer application, and commerce streams. The university has many foreign collaborations like Chatham University, USA, Chechen State Pedagogical Institute, Russia, Birmingham City University, UK, and Universite de Haute-Alsace, France.

More than 5000 students study on the university campus. The uniervsity courses are approved by UGC. It is a member of AIU, ISTE, CSI, and IETE.

The university has been given A grade by NAAC. The university was also ranked 1^stamong top private colleges in Uttarakhand and 8^thamoung private institutes in India survey by Dainik Bhaskar and 30^th among top institutes in India by IBM TGMC 2011.

Application and Admission Procedure

Graphic Era University

The University accepts applications through their online admission portal. Interested candidates have to register using a valid email id and should login to complete the application form with all necessary academic information and personal details. The applicant should then upload or enclose the following documents along with the form:

• 10+2 mark sheet
• Graduation Mark sheet (For PG admission)
• Statement of Purpose

Following is the admission procedure for entry into various programs offered by Graphic Era University-

• For admission into B.Tech program, university selects students based on their JEE mains score and for M.Tech uses GATE score as a criteria.
• Admissions for B.Sc and B.Com programs are based on a personal interview round.
• MBA needs CAT / XAT / MAT followed by Group Discussion – Personal Interview round to select students.
• Ph.D aspirants need to take up GATE / NET / SLET along with a personal interview round for admissions.

Hostel and Facilities

Campus Facilities

The Graphic University is situated amidst lush green surroundings of Rajaji national park Dehradun. It provides modern infrastructure to about 12000 students. It makes available wide facilities on campus. Few of them are sports facilities, transport for students, on-campus restaurant, cafeteria, medical facility, bank. ATM, Reprographic, and STD facility.

The campus location is suitable for students are it provides direct access to market within few minutes and other facilities as well. A high-class library and computer center have also been built to aid students.

Hostel

Separate hostels are provided for girls and boys. There is a facility to accommodate over 1500 students at a time. The hostel makes available 24-hour electricity and water, 1 computer center, 24 hours security, well-furnished rooms, incoming call facility, Gymnasium, laundry facility and hygienic toilets. Students need not bring their mattresses and other basic things, it is provided in the hostel at nominal charges.
