Scholarships

Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST students:

Applicable to: Students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities.
Eligibility: Passed matriculation or higher secondary examination and pursuing any regular course in GRI.
Expenses covered: Varies from Rs. 230 to Rs. 1200 per month (depending on the course and hostel status).
Other eligibility: Covers tuition fee, admission fee, maintenance allowance and other allowances.

Post Matric Scholarship for OBC students:

Applicable to: Students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC) communities.
Eligibility: Passed matriculation or higher secondary examination and pursuing any regular course in GRI.
Expenses covered: Varies from Rs. 160 to Rs. 750 per month (depending on the course and hostel status).
Other eligibility: Covers tuition fee, admission fee, maintenance allowance and other allowances.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Minority students:

Applicable to: Students from minority communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians).
Eligibility: Secured at least 50% marks in the previous final examination and pursuing any regular course in GRI.
Expenses covered: Rs. 20,000 per annum for technical/professional courses; Rs. 10,000 per annum for other courses.

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for College and University Students:

Applicable to: Students who passed the 12th class examination with at least 80% marks.
Eligibility: Pursuing any regular course in GRI; family income not exceeding Rs. 8 lakhs.
Expenses covered: Rs. 10,000 per annum (undergraduate courses); Rs. 20,000 per annum (postgraduate courses).

National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students:

Applicable to: ST students pursuing M.Phil or Ph.D courses in GRI.
Eligibility: Passed postgraduate examination with at least 55% marks.
Fellowship amount: Rs. 28,000 per month (JRF); Rs. 35,000 per month (SRF).
Scholarship amount: Rs. 15,000 per annum (male students); Rs. 18,000 per annum (female students).

National Fellowship for OBC Candidate:

Applicable to: OBC students pursuing M.Phil or Ph.D courses in GRI.
Eligibility: Passed postgraduate examination with at least 55% marks.
Fellowship amount: Rs. 25,000 per month (JRF); Rs. 28,000 per month (SRF).
