Scholarships

Dean's Merit List Scholarship:

Eligibility:
- For engineering courses: Students must have secured a rank within the top 2000 in JEE Main or within the top 1000 in SASTRA's entrance test.
- For other courses: Students must have secured a minimum percentage of marks in their previous qualifying examinations as specified by the university .
Scholarship Amount: Ranges from 25% to 100% of the tuition fee based on academic performance.

Hostel Scholarship:

Eligibility:
- Students must have submitted their income certificate and other relevant documents to prove their economic status.
- Students must maintain a minimum attendance and academic performance as prescribed by the university .
Scholarship Amount: 50% of the hostel fee for students whose annual family income is less than Rs. 2 lakhs.

Additional details -

SASTRA also provides special scholarships for children of defense officials, fee waivers for sports achievers (up to 15%) and scholarships for students with physical disabilities.
Some J&K migrant students receive study reimbursement of up to 25%.
Hostel scholarship recipients need to maintain a minimum class attendance of 90% with no indiscipline records and a minimum CGPA of 7.5%.
