Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Dehradun

Himalayan University was established in 2013 in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. It is approved by UGC. It received AIMA Accreditation in Dec, 2013 and became a member of AIU in 2015.

The university offers courses in Science, Arts, Coomerce, Engineering, Management, Law among others. The courses are approved by AICTE, Bar Council of India and Pharmacy Council of India. It also has international collaborations with univeristis like Georgian Technical University,Georgia, University of Cyprus, Ukraine and Odessa National Polytechnic University,Ukraine.

It was awarded Best university of the year (East) in 2014, 7th in top 10 emerging Universities in India and 10th in top 10 high quality infrastructure Universities in India

How to Apply?

The Himalayan University has 2 methods of admission process, where the first one involves downloading the application form from the official website and completing it with personal details, academic qualifications and the desired course.

Offline Procedure

Upon completion the hard copy of the form should be mailed / couriered to the University campus, along with 10+2 score cards, degree certificate (If applicable), each semester marksheets (If applicable), birth certificate and address proof of the candidate.

The mail should also contain a demand draft of the first installment of fees, which differs for each course and 5 recently taken stamp size photograph.

Online Procedure

Candidates can also apply through the online mode, where the above mentioned process can be carried out through the online admission portal of the University. In case of online form, the mentioned documents, and photographs should be scanned and uploaded in the portal, while the first installment fees can be paid using credit / debit card.

Hostel and Facilities

Campus Facilities

The Himalayan University is located in serene and calm Papum Pare of State Arunachal Pradesh. The campus of the university is environment-friendly with a boulevard of trees and state of art facility for students. The university campus provides a library, computer room, sports arena, well-equipped classrooms, gymnasium, placement and internship cell and a guest house. The dispensary available on campus are well equipped with a qualified doctor and helping staff.

Hostel facility

There is no hostel facility at the Himalayan university. However, the construction of separate hostels for boys as well as girls is underway. The guest house available at the institution cannot be undertaken as a permanent residence by students. Though, students can rent out rooms outside the college premises.

Student Activity

Science seminars, cultural events, alumni meet and sports meets are the few events held at this university. Sports meet are held at the state level with various competitions including indoor and outdoor games.
