Campus spans an area of 70 acres. Uttaranchal University offers different undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Fields of study include law, technology, management, pharmacy, agriculture, polytechnic, hospitality management, media and communication and arts. The university also provides a one-year Certificate course in Hotel Management.
Student body consists of over 6000 individuals while faculty includes approximately 293 members. The campus features facilities like hostels for boys and girls, a gym, a library, a cafeteria and a computer center. Hostels provide basic amenities.
For admissions the university accepts scores from multiple entrance exams. BTech candidates must submit their JEE Main exam rank. For MBA, the university considers scores from CAT, MAT, XAT and UUEE.
Uttaranchal University has established international partnerships with different universities. In 2023 university achieved a placement record with highest package reaching INR 1.24 CPA (International). Over 140 companies participated in the recent placement drive.
The university has received many rankings. It is listed among Top 50 general private universities in India according to India Today's best universities in India survey from August 2022. It is also ranked 27 in North Zone among best multidisciplinary universities by The Week.
