UPES offers specialized programs in sectors like Oil & Gas, Power, Aviation and Legal Studies. It is India's first Energy University and Asia's first Energy & Core Sector University. The main campus covers 42 acres.
UPES provides over 80 programs with more than 200 specializations. These are offered through seven schools- Advanced Engineering, Computer Science, Design, Law, Business, Health Sciences & Technology and Liberal Studies. The leading program is B.Tech available in many specializations.
University has over 15,000 students and more than 600 faculty members.
UPES offers multiple facilities like hostels, medical services, a gym, a library and sports amenities. There is also IT infrastructure, a cafeteria, an auditorium and Wi-Fi.
Admission - For undergraduates UPES conducts its own tests like UPESEAT for B.Tech and ULSAT for Law. National-level exam scores like JEE-Main for B.Tech and CAT/MAT for MBA are accepted as well.
UPES is approved by UGC and recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It holds a Grade 'A' accreditation from NAAC.
University ranks 52nd in India according to NIRF in 2023. QS World University Rankings 2024 listed UPES as top private university in academic reputation.
