Gurukul Vidyapeeth Institute Of Engineering & Technology (GURUKUL) Patiala

Gurukul Vidyapeeth Institute of Engineering and technology is a private institute established in 2001 under the affiliation of Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Punjab. It is approved by AICTE, Delhi and recognized by Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

The institute offers 12 undergraduate courses. Postgraduate courses include 6 M.E/MTech courses, 3 Management courses, 6 Diploma courses and 3 computer applications courses.

The admission into UG programmes is done on the basis of JEEE/CET/JET/GVEEE scores. For PG Programmes, it is done on the basis of XAT/GVAT/CAT scores (For MBA) and GATE scores (For M.E/MTech).

The institute also has Research and development cell and conducts workshops, Seminars, Guest lectures and programs like “Earn while you learn” and personality development.

GVIET is located in Banur, Patiala, Punjab and is spread across 40 acres of land with well equipped labs, Wi-Fi campus, central and digital libraries, computer labs digital classrooms, auditorium, cafeteria, hostels, sports complex, gyms, medical care, banking and vedic infrastructure.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel Facility

This college has separate hostels for its boy’s students and girl’s students. At present, there are 4 hostels among which 3 are boy’s hostels and one is for female students. All are in campus hostels.

The hostel rooms are spacious along with all the modern facilities like round the clock electricity, internet connectivity, running tap water etc. Apart from that, rooms have all the basic types of furniture like beds, study table, chair and cupboards etc.

The hostels have a mess with a spacious dining hall and a modern kitchen, it serves hygienic food. The hostel serves only vegetarian food to its students.

Other Facilities

Apart from the hostel facility, there are some other facilities such as a cafeteria, auditorium, well-stocked library, separate labs for different subjects like the computer lab, internet lab, DBM& web technology lab etc.

The college provides several indoor as well as outdoor sports facilities like badminton, basketball, table tennis, volleyball etc to its students. The entire campus has internet accessibility too. Apart from that, it provides medical service and shuttle services too.
