Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC) Mumbai

Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC) is a private engineering institute in Mumbai, India. It was established in 1983 and is first private engineering institute affiliated with University of Mumbai.

TSEC offers a four-year Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in multiple disciplines. These include Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication and Chemical Engineering. The institute also provides PhD programs in Information Technology, Computer Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication.

Faculty consists of over 119 members with around 35 holding PhD degrees. College had 320 undergraduate placements and 150+ students pursued higher studies according to NIRF Report 2024.

TSEC is unaided and affiliated with the University of Mumbai. The institute provides different facilities like a library, computing center, laboratories, seminar rooms and lounges. It offers a Wi-Fi enabled campus, canteen, gymkhana, auditorium, workshop and drawing hall.

Admissions to TSEC are based on national or state-level entrance exams like JEE Main and MHTCET.

TSEC is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college ranks in the 251-300 range in the NIRF Engineering Rankings 2021 and was ranked 42 in the All India Engineering Institutes Ranking Survey 2022.

In the 2021 placement year, TSEC achieved a placement rate of 86.96% for the Computer Science Engineering branch. The average salary offered to students was INR 10 LPA. A total of 260 out of 300 students were placed in the 2021-22 placement drives.
