Alpha College of Engineering is a private university affiliated to Vivesvaraya Technological University, Belagum. This university is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
The college offers courses in post graduate programs and under graduate programs. The courses are offered in CSE, ECE, ME, and CE.
The campus of the college is spread across a wide area and includes world class facilities. It includes Laboratories, an auditorium, seminar halls, sports grounds, sound proof lecture halls, canteen, Wi-Fi facilities, and Health care facility.
The admissions in the college for UG programs are done on the basis of marks scored in 12th standard. The admissions for Lateral entries are done on the basis of percentage scored in Diploma program. The admissions in the PG programs are done on the basis of marks scored in respective UG programs.

Hostel and Facilities
Hostel
Alpha College of Engineering is spread over 10 acres with separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls. Two students share a room.
There is a canteen in each hostel majorly serving South Indian food. The hostels have backup generator and hot and cold water supply. There is access to maintenance works- cleaners, electricians, plumbers etc. at all times.
There are strict measures in place with security guards and wardens to ensure student welfare, safety and discipline.
Other Facilities
The institute provides other facilities such as well stocked library with access to scientific journals and periodicals, state of the art laboratories and workshops for each department, cafeteria and 24 medical attention with ambulance on standby.
There is an outdoor games complex with a well maintained playground as well as an indoor games complex with facilities for chess, carom and table tennis. The college has efficient transport services. There is also a computer centre with over 200 computers and internet accessibility.
