RV College of Engineering was established in the year 1963 in the Bangalore City. It is one of the top self-financing Engineering Institutions of the country. It is established through a not-for profit trust Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST).

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

Spread in 51 acres the RVCE campus is laden with ultra-modern facilities such as WiFi connection, Kotak Mahindra Bank, post office, gym etc.

There are four hostels and a PG facility for students. They are segregated according to gender. Hostels in campus are for boys and those off campus are for girls. The rooms are well equipped with the basic necessities of water, electricity and security. A mess which serves good food is available.

Other facilities

There’s a huge food court inside the campus which has sterilized utensils and steam cooked food. It also has a medical center, reprographic shop, library, labs and a computer centre.

The campus runs eco friendly activities on the campus like Rain Water Harvesting, Reverse Osmosis water treatment, Sewage treatment etc.

The Placement, Entrepreneurship and Development and Industry Institute Interaction Cells make sure that students receive good employment opportunities.

Apart from NCC and NSS clubs, students can also participate in different clubs like- Team Antriksh, Team Helios,Frequency Club, Team Krushi, Ashwa Racing etc .

The annual techno-cultural fest of the college is known as “8th Mile”. The Science Forum of the college conducts another inter-collegiate festival “Genesis” and each department organises its own unique events.

Various language, sports and social services activities are held throughout the year.
