HMS Institute of Technology is a private educational institute located in Tumkur. It was established in 1997 by H.M.S Education Society.

The campus covers an area of 30 acres on NH-4, which is 60 km from Bangalore. HMS Institute of Technology is unaided and affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University. It has approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accreditation from National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

The institute offers eight courses, including B.E, M.Tech and MBA. It serves a student body of over 3000 covering education from L.K.G to postgraduate levels.

Facilities include separate hostels for boys and girls, a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, a language lab, training programs and an automated central library. For admissions the institute considers KCET scores for undergraduate programs and CAT scores for the MBA program.
