Mangalore Institute Of Technology & Engineering (MITE) Dakshina Kannada

Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering (MITE) is a private institute located in Mangalore. It was established in 2007 by the Rajalaxmi Education Trust led by Mr. Rajesh Chowta. Campus is in Badaga Mijar, Moodabidre and covers an area of 74 acres.

MITE provides education to over 3000 students with support of 180 faculty members. The institute offers eight undergraduate engineering programs, two postgraduate engineering programs, an MBA and seven research programs. 

MITE is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. 

The institute offers Bachelor of Engineering in nine disciplines, an MBA in three streams, M.Tech in two streams and a PhD in seven streams. MITE accepts admissions through KCET, COMEDK-UGET, GATE, KMAT and VTU-ETR entrance exams.

MITE has received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an A+ grade. It also holds ISO 9001-2015 certification. 

In rankings MITE has been recognized with an A+ by NAAC. It is placed in the 151-300 band in the NIRF Innovation Ranking 2023.

Institute collaborates with organizations like Management Development Institute of Singapore, ITE-West, Bosch and Infosys Campus Connect. MITE has a training and placement cell with over 167 companies visiting campus annually.
