About the University
The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University was established in the year 1987 and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and diploma courses in various fields of medicine and paramedics. The University provides courses in alopathy,homeopathy,physiotherapyand ayurveda. The main objectives of the University is topromote research and disseminates knowledge gained therefrom. The University has been declared eligible by the UGC u/s 12(B) of the UGC Act 1956 for receiving central assistance.
