Fee Structure of Thanthai Periyar Government Institute Of Technology (TPGIT) , Vellore

1. Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Technical Degree):

• Provided by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
• Covers tuition fees and other expenses up to Rs. 50,000 per annum for four years.
• Eligibility criteria:
  • Admitted to the first year of an AICTE-approved technical degree program.
  • Valid JEE Mains score or TNEA rank.
  • Annual family income should not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs.
  • Only one girl child per family can avail this scholarship.
  • Not availing any other scholarship or stipend.

1. Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students (Technical Degree):

• Also provided by the AICTE.
• Covers tuition fees and other expenses up to Rs. 50,000 per annum for four years.
• Eligibility criteria:
  • Admitted to the first year of an AICTE-approved technical degree program.
  • Valid JEE Mains score or TNEA rank.
  • At least 40% disability as certified by a competent authority.

1. AICTE-Swanath Scholarship Scheme (Technical Degree):

• Given by the AICTE to support economically weaker students.
• Covers tuition fees and other expenses up to Rs. 30,000 per annum for four years.
• Eligibility criteria:
  • Admitted to the first year of an AICTE-approved technical degree program.
  • Valid JEE Mains score or TNEA rank.
  • Annual family income should not exceed Rs. 6 lakhs.

TPGIT offers fee waivers to SC/ST students, BC/MBC students, first graduate students, sports quota students and ex-servicemen quota students as per government norms. 

Additional details:

• TPGIT also provides department-wise scholarships, hostel scholarships, SC/ST Aadhidravidar scholarships and benefits for first graduates in families.
• Candidates must apply within stipulated time through AICTE portal or college office.
