Sbrr Mahajana First Grade College Mysore

SBRR Mahajana First Grade College is a private college in Mysore. The college was established in 1982. It started off as a girls-only college with BA and BCom courses. In 1987 it became co-educational after receiving state government support.

The college provides different undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It introduced Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Computer Applications shortly after becoming co-educational. College also established Mahajana Tourism Development Institute which focuses on tourism and hospitality studies.

SBRR Mahajana First Grade College is affiliated with the University of Mysore. It has received accreditation from NAAC multiple times, with four-star rating in 2001, a B++ in 2007 and an 'A' grade in 2015. The UGC recognized it as a College with Potential for Excellence in 2010 and 2016.

Campus covers a built-up area of 325,000 square feet. It includes a library with 30,000 books, laboratories, a medical hospital, cafeteria, auditorium, hostel and gym. College enrolls 2,500+ students and has around 150 faculty members. The admissions is based on 12th-grade results.

The college attracts international students from Africa, Asia and the USA. More than 5,000 international students have graduated from the college since its inception.
