Gulbarga University is a state public university located in Gulbarga. It was established in 1971. The main campus covers an area of 860 acres.

It offers different programs leading to recognized degrees, including bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees. There are 38 postgraduate departments and 4 postgraduate centers.
