Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara University, Mysore, is also referred to as JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research. It is a deemed private university. It was established in 2008 and is situated in Mysore.

The university focuses on medical and health-related studies. It consists of six faculties- Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Bio-medical Sciences, Life Sciences and Health System Management Studies.

JSS University offers diploma undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Key programs include MBBS, B.Sc, MD, MS, M.Sc and DM. Institute includes JSS Medical College, JSS Dental College, a Faculty of Life Sciences, a Department of Health System Management Studies, a Department of Water and Health and two pharmacy colleges.
