Birla College of Arts, Science and Commerce is located in Kalyan West, Mumbai. College was established in 1972. It is affiliated with University of Mumbai. The campus covers an area of over 40 acres.

College offers 30 undergraduate courses, 31 postgraduate courses and 9 PhD programs. It also conducts a PG Diploma in Bio-nanotechnology and an Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. The current student enrollment is more than 13,000.

Birla College has 55 classrooms equipped with ICT facilities. Half of these classrooms are smart and there is one 3D studio.

The college accepts different entrance tests for admission. It has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A' Grade. It received 'College with Potential for Excellence' status in 2010 and 'College of Excellence' status for period 2015-2020.

Birla College was recently ranked No.1 as a 'Promising Future Ready - Institution' by Education World in India Higher Education Rankings 2021-22.

College has international collaborations including a Memorandum of Understanding with University of West Georgia. This allows for faculty and student exchanges and promotes research.
