The Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) was established in 2008 by the Government of Bihar. It is an autonomous institute. CIMP offers a two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program. This program is AICTE approved NBA accredited and recognized by AIU as equivalent to an MBA.

CIMP offers PGDM, and a Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), a Post Graduate Diploma in Management- Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Venture Development (PGDM-IEV) and an Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM). Institute has a total student enrollment of 220 and 20+ faculty members.

CIMP accepts scores from national entrance exams like CAT, XAT and CMAT for admissions. Institute has received many accreditations including AICTE approval and NBA accreditation.

In the IIRF 2023 rankings, CIMP placed 70th among top B-Schools in India. The institute has been recognized with the 'Majestic Five Continents Award for Quality and Excellence' in Geneva. CIMP has also established academic collaborations with institutes in the USA, Canada and Sweden.
