The institute of higher technology was established in the year 2000 and is affiliated to the Anna university, Chennai. It was founded by T.Kalasalingam and is located in Kelambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The campus is large and interconnected and has separate hostel facilties for girls and boys, transport facilities, main audotirium, air conditoned seminar halls, conference rooms, meeting halls, dedicated teaching staff, powerful infrastructure, a digital library enabled with internet and wifi connectivity, and various other amenities for the students.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

Anand Institute of Higher Technology consists of 2 hostels ; 1 for boys and 1 for girls. It can accommodate 450 students. The infrastructure is equipped with the basic facilities of 24 hour supply of water and electricity, ventilated rooms and well equipped with a bed and a study table.

The hostel has a gym for hostel students with the advanced training machines for workout.

The mess serves only vegetarian cuisines with any egg dish once a week. Each hostel is under the strict supervision of one Deputy Warden and two assistant wardens.

Other Facilities

The college provides the basic facilities such as Xerox Machine at lower cost than the market, Stationery shop, Medical center, Indian Bank’s branch with ATM in the college premises along with the ATMs of HDFC Bank and SBI Bank and Courier Service.

AIHT has sporting culture. It has built Indoor stadiums for the games like, Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Fitness Centre for boys and girls, Chess, Carrom and Outdoor stadium for the games like, Cricket, Football, Track & Field, Volleyball, Basketball, Throw Ball, Ball Badminton

The institute provides scholarship to SC/ST, BC/MBC, minority, wards of beedi workers and cine workers and those students who get marks above 955 out of 1200 in 12th standard.
