Anand Institute Of Higher Technology, Chennai (AIHT) Kanchipuram

The Anand Institute of Higher Technology (AIHT) is a private educational institute located in Chennai. It was established in 2000 by Thiru T Kalasalingam. AIHT focuses on providing education and training in engineering, science and management.

The campus covers 25 acres. It is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai and its courses are approved by AICTE.

AIHT offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The undergraduate courses include BE and B.Tech with many specializations, as well as BArch The postgraduate courses are M.E., M.Tech and MBA. Institute has three academic departments- Engineering Architecture and Management.

The institute has around 450 students enrolled and employs over 200 faculty members. AIHT does not have affiliated colleges.

Facilities at AIHT include separate hostels for boys and girls, a canteen, a gym, sports facilities, a courier service, a bank, an ATM, a medical center and stationery services.

Admissions are based on entrance test scores specifically TANCET and CEETA PG.

AIHT is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and holds ISO 9001-2008 certification.

In terms of rankings AIHT ranks 27th based on academic performance as per Anna University of Technology. It also achieved the 20th rank in the All India AICTE - Cii Survey of Industry linked Institutions.

Placements - In 2019-23 placement drive AIHT recorded a placement rate of 94.38%. A total of 168 students were placed with the highest CTC being INR 8 LPA.
