Mahendra Engineering College Namakkal

Mahendra Engineering College is located in Mallasamudram, Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1995 by Shri MG Bharath Kumar. The college is a private institute and it operates autonomously. 

The campus covers an area of 130 acres. It offers 14 undergraduate and 9 postgraduate programs in different engineering disciplines. Courses include Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics engineering, as well as MBA and MCA. Approximately 4000 students are enrolled in engineering programs with 240 in MBA.

The college is affiliated with Anna University. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A' grade. It is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

To gain admission the college accepts scores from the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) for BE/BTech. For ME/MTech and MBA/MCA it accepts scores from Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET).

The college has facilities like hostels for both male and female students, a central library, sports facilities and a canteen. It additionally offers transport services, IT infrastructure, internet access and banking facilities.

Mahendra Engineering College has been ranked among the top colleges by the Competition Success Review. It is known for its partnership with Infosys and is recognized in Asia Book of Records for organizing largest Women Hackathon. In National Institutional Ranking Framework Innovation ranking, it was listed 26-50 out of 50 colleges in India in 2020.

Various companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini and IBM participate in placement drives.
