Vignan Institute of Technology and Science is a private educational institute located in Hyderabad. It was established in 1999 by Dr. Lavu Rathaiah. Institute covers 350 acres of land. It is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. The All India Council for Technical Education has approved the institute. It has also received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation and a Grade 'A+' from NAAC.

The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses focused on engineering. Its flagship program is B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. Other B.Tech courses include Civil Electrical & Electronics and Mechanical Engineering. Postgraduate offerings include M.Tech in Computer Science, Embedded Systems and Power Electronics & Electrical Drives.

Student body comprises approximately 2500 students. There are 269 faculty members. Admissions for B.Tech programs require scores from TS EAMCET or JEE Main. M.Tech admissions require GATE scores.

Facilities on campus include internet access, laboratories, workshops, large seminar halls and a well-stocked library with around 32,949 resources. There are also sports fields and auditoriums.

In rankings NIRF 2021 placed the institute in the 201-250 band for engineering. According to Times of India, it ranks 2nd in Telangana and 26th in India for placements. Dataquest ranked it 5th in Telangana and 55th in India among engineering colleges.
