Don Bosco Institute Of Technology (DBIT) Mumbai

Don Bosco Institute of Technology is a private engineering college in Mumbai. It was established in 2001 by the Bombay Salesian Society. The college is located in Kurla (West), Mumbai. Campus covers 5 acres.

Institute is affiliated with University of Mumbai and recognized as a "Religious Minority" institute. It operates as an unaided private institute.

College offers BE and BE Lateral courses with four specializations. The specializations include Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Engineering. All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) approves these courses.

Faculty comprises 40 members. Class strength is approximately 150 students.

The institute has many facilities. It has a library with over 34,794 texts and reference books. The campus includes technical laboratories, sports facilities, an entrepreneurship cell and a National Service Scheme unit.

For admissions the institute accepts scores from the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) and JEE Main.

Institute holds a B++ grade accreditation from NAAC. It is also recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE.

In terms of ranking the institute was among the top 300 in NIRF 2021.

The placement rate in 2022 was 95%. Companies participating in the placement drive included Jio, Infosys, Royal Enfield, L&T, Capgemini, Link Group and Tata Consultancy Services. Institute has placed around 5,000 students since it began operations.
