HOW TO APPLY?
The candidates wanting admission to the B tech/M tech courses at K.J Somaiya College of Engineering (KJSCE) have to submit an application through the common admission process (CAP).
Candidates are eligible for admission only if they qualify their 10+2 from a recognized board along with a valid MHCET / JEE-MAINS score.
The candidates can apply online through the official website of the college.
DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED
With the submission of application form the candidates have to submit basic documents like 10th and 12th passing certificate and mark sheet, Qualifying examination scorecard, passport size photograph.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
For B.Tech and M.Tech courses candidates need to apply online through the CAP portal of DTE, Maharashtra. They have to pay the application fee online of Rs 800 whereas for PhD courses candidates have to download the application form online from the official website of the college and submit the form at the campus or through post and pre the application fee of Rs 1000 in cash or cheque or by pay order.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The admission is done through counselling conducted by DTE Maharashtra which is based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the Maharashtra common entrance test (MHCET) or the rank obtained by the candidate in JEE-Mains. The admission procedure also includes counselling.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel
K J Somaiya College of Engineering is an autonomous college affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The college has two hostels, equipped with all the latest facilities, to accommodate the students properly. There are separate hostels for girls and boys. The hostel is centrally air conditioned with Wi-Fi connectivity.
The hostel fee is around 6000 per month, including mess, for diploma students and 7000 per month for management students.
Other Facilities
The college has a canteen too to provide the students with quality eatables. For students interested in sports, the college provides access to jogging track, turf ground, football ground, basketball ground and a squash court too.
The college has amazing infrastructure with well equipped laboratories and workshops. The entire campus is Wi-Fi connected. All the classrooms have projector facilities to enable smart learning. Each department has its own laboratories and air conditioned conference halls. The college has a library with all the books as per the requirements of the students and curriculum.

Remarks
College management is good they work as the team and make this college work too smoothly and efficiently they are friendly and always there when needed. Also, It definitely is one of the best colleges in Mumbai, except of course IIT. The crowd and atmosphere here is really encouraging.
Entrance Exam
Mu admission into the college was based on my Jee Mains and the college turned out to be a good choice. Though i did nmot get the stream that i would have had but I liked the crowd and campus so I didnt hesitate much
Fees
Yes feed is a bit expensive of this college in all it took 1,8 lakhs per annum rupees inclusive of all things. But i think its way too expensive it is one of the most expensive but at the same time the quality of education, the brand value and the facilities are also great. The colleg also offer some scholarships to deserving students and i think this way it helping out studenst who want to study but cannot due to financial constraints.
Placements
There are so many comapnies that come suring the placement . Microsoft, Facebook, TCS, Infosys, LnT, etc are few companies coming to our campus average placement package is 4.75 lacs per annum and it provides 100% recruitment. Once done with BTech we don't need to worry about a job here
Hostel and Facilities
The hostel is good for new students good bed and good service its well maintained and kept in good condition hot water comes regularly so it's not issue for students each room has its own study table and inside the room personal bathroom attached which makes it easy and nice
Alumni
Seniors are very helpful they guide us to choose for audit course help to know the pattern of engineering when we knew to it helped with there own handmade notes for the semester
Faculty
The faculty is very helpful they are always there to help whenever needed they guide each student as if they are their own child they help to think as a professional person who solves his all problems most efficiently and the best way they also are most qualified.
Campus Life
The best part about this college is the freedom for extracurricular activities. There are a lot of teams for each art form like dance, drama, music. Nobody over here compared or isolated anyone on any basis of religion or race or gender. There is equAlity in and around the campus.
Academics
Exam structure includes 60-40 weightage here 60% is given to end the semester and 40% is given to internals including orals and other term work here we have 2 unit test and even some subjects have 25mks practical exams its easy to score if u study well in this college
